Despite the circumstances, he’s managed to make a career out of the very thing he credits to keeping him alive: music. With his troubled past behind him, he’s on a different road - searching for his “Black Boy Joy” in a time where race is always heated conversation. His sound reflects just that.

Back in 2012, after spending a night in jail and subsequently fired from his restaurant gig the next day, he decided to go full-time with music. Since then, he’s earned an illustrious reputation in the New York City club date scene - gigging his way up from small bars and legendary clubs like The Bitter End, Rockwood Music Hall and Whelan’s in Dublin all the way up to world famous venues like the Royal Theater in Amsterdam, and Radio City Music Hall in New York City. He’s made several National TV appearances (NBC’s The Winner Is , AGT) in addition to being featured on songs that’ve amassed millions of streams on YouTube and Spotify with other acts. j.aaron’s career includes backing big artists, from 50 Cent to bonafide legends like Tony Orlando and Kenny Rogers.


Now, he’s ready to make his name known. Sonically, you can expect his music to "blend Hip Hop, Pop and R&B-styles effortlessly" while "building a soulful atmosphere along with [his] vocal”. From his catchy melodies to the spirited flow of his heartfelt rap verses, his music finds a depth in pop that is rarely matched - ranging from feel good vibes and healing to love, heartbreak and loss.
