J. AARON DEBUTS WITH POP AND R’N’B INFUSED ‘AH LYKE IT’
Singer and songwriter J. AARON debuts as a solo artist with ‘AH LYKE IT’, a wonderful blend of pop, hip-hop and R’n’B that won’t leave you disappointed. After being a backup singer for many different artists and acts, from 50 Cent to bonafide legends like Tony Orlando and Kenny Rogers, J. Aaron finally decided it was time he should reveal himself through music.
‘AH LYKE IT’ is a song you would put on repeat, as his soothing vocals, good vibes and atmosphere seem to bring you along in a sunny day in New York. The song has a deep meaning though, as it deals with Aaron’s anxiety, depression and his charming, light-hearted take on the world’s view of his personal quirks.
With his troubled past behind him, J. Aaron is on a different road, searching for his “Black Boy Joy” in a time where race is always heated conversation. His sound reflects just that. ‘AH LYKE IT’ was written after a fortuitous conversation between J. Aaron and songwriter Thomas Bahler, who gave him the best advice “Just tell the truth!“
This debuts sets the tone for big things ahead. J. Aaron told us: ‘I’ve spent a long time hiding because of who I am and healing from what I’ve been through. After years of cutting my teeth in NYC, learning and performing with legends, I feel healed. I’m ready to share myself and be seen‘.
